Virender Sehwag & Rahul Dravid had put on a record equalling opening partnership of 403 runs when bad light stopped play on day 4 of the first cricket Test match between India & Pakistan. Virender Sehwag was unbeaten on 247, whilst Rahul Dravid was not out on 128 runs.

Sehwag simply tore the Pakistan attack to shreds as he recorded the fastest Test century by an Indian opener & then the second fastest double century in Test history. He had scored his 247 from 240 balls faced with 46 fours and 1 six. This is again the second highest number of boundaries scored in a Test innings.

Dravid was watchful, elegant and quick to punish any lapses in line and length by the Pakistani bowlers. He has so far hit 19 fours in his knock.
