Cricket News – Inzamam and Afridi put India under pressure

Shahid Afridi carried on from where he left off at Lahore scoring 85 not out at close of play, on the first day of the 2nd Cricket Test match between Pakistan and India. Batting with him was captain Inzamam Ul Haq on 79 not out, as Pakistan finished the day on a strong note at 379 for 4.

Earlies Younis Khan with 83 and Mohammad Yousuf with a polished 65 had steadied the ship, after both openers were out relatively cheaply.

For India, the debutant left arm pace bowler Rudra Pratap Singh captured 3 wickets, while Zaheer Khan captured the only other wicket to fall.
