Cricket News – Jayasuriya forced to quit Test Cricket?”

In a sensational claim, newly appointed chief selector and former Sri Lankan fast bowler Asantha De Mel claimed that the island’s most famous cricketer was handed an ultimatum and ‘forced’ to resign from Test cricket.

De Mel blamed his predecessor Lalith Kaluperuma for not allowing Jayasuriya to leave the game with diginty, basically forcing his hand to resign.
