Cricket News – Stuart Clark puts his hand up

It is normally acknowledge that being the power play bowler and then bowling at the ‘death’, the closing stages of an innings in one day international cricket, are the most challenging phases of the play.

It is a measure of the man that Stuart Clark has put his hand up to do the two most difficult jobs, after he was picked to replace the injured Brett Lee.

STUART Clark has volunteered for the two most challenging jobs in the Australian one-day team – the powerplay bowler and “closer” – after being named as Brett Lee’s replacement in the 15-man World Cup squad yesterday.
